Bus Crash Injures Anger Management Tourmates
July 14, 2005

Eminem DJ Alchemist and Rapper Stat Quo were among those injured when an Anger Management tour bus collided with a pair of tractor-trailers just outside Odessa, Missouri on Wednesday night. The accident triggered a six-car pile up that left 11 people seriously injured. Seven tour bus passengers sustained injuries, according to MTV.com, including Stat Quo, his manager, Alchemist and his manager, a Shady Records bodyguard, the bus driver and the tour's trainer. Stat was treated for broken ribs and released from an area hospital, while Alchemist is still being treated for broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

MTV.com reports that the bus was bound for Denver, the site of tonight's (7/14) Anger Management concert, when its driver swerved onto the highway's shoulder to avoid the slower-moving tractor-trailers. The bus, which was moving at a high rate of speed, slid off the right side of the roadway, but then veered sharply to the left and back onto the highway, clipping one of the trucks. The force from the impact shot the truck across several lanes of traffic and over the highway median, into the oncoming-traffic lane. The bus then struck a second 18-wheeler and that collision forced the bus onto its side, coming to rest on the highway's median. Four other vehicles then collided with the truck and bus debris.

The accident is not expected to derail the tour, and a replacement DJ is being sought to fill in for Alchemist until he is healed. However, Stat Quo is unlikely to perform tonight in Denver. Meanwhile, BME/Warner Bros. Rappers Lil Scrappy and Bohagon have joined their label head, Lil Jon, on the Anger Management tour, which already features Eminem, 50 Cent, G-Unit, D12 and Obie Trice.
