WKSE/Buffalo PD Jimmy Steele exits. MD Brian Wilde will handle things in the interim.

Todd Violette is named PD at KRUZ/Santa Barbara. Violette was most recently APD/MD at KZZO/Sacramento.

Matt Ryder, APD/midday talent at KHTT/Tulsa is leaving radio to pursue other interests. MD Tim "Rayne" Rainey assumes the APD role, while the search is on for a new midday host.

Roderick Smith joins WDAI/Myrtle Beach as PD. Smith formerly held PD gig at WBWT/Tallahassee.

Ronnie Rio takes the midday post at WHRP/Huntsville.

At WFCX & WFDX/Traverse City, Rich Nadeau, most recently PD at crosstown WLDR, comes on board as Production Director/midafternoon talent, while Lisa Knight joins for afternon drive from crosstown WKHQ. WFDX night host Tim Logan departs.

Fans of the syndicated Ace & TJ Show will be happy to know that the entire show is available in the form of a daily podcast at www.acetjshow.com.

Jeff Smulyan, Emmis Chairman/CEO, will be honored with the 2006 Broadcasters' Foundation Golden Mike Award.

Bloomberg News reports, RealNeatworks Inc. has posted a second-quarter profit of $4.71 million, with sales rising to twenty-six percent to $82.7 million.

And finally, the Y100Rocks.com Web site offers this bit of news: "This past week saw us break through some important barriers. First, we crossed a half-million webcast streams.
