 Neil Young
| Neil Young's Archives box set keeps getting delayed, but it looks like the rocker may have a new album finished already. Young has posted a new clip on YouTube and his website where he is singing a Blues jam about the economic collapse while playing some air guitar. A spokesman told Rolling Stone that the song will be the title track to a forthcoming studio album. So what does that mean for the delayed Archives box set and the Crazy Horse album, Toast? "It seems logical in light of the timeliness of the subject matter that it will preempt Archives and Toast for the time being," the spokesperson says. "But that hasn’t been confirmed yet."
After performing on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, Taylor Swift will now guest star in an episode of CSI. Swift will play Haley Jones, a teenaged girl whose family runs a seedy Las Vegas motel. Over the course of a year, her character goes through "a series of changes that have tragic consequences."
Amy Winehouse's jailed husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is reportedly filing for divorce because he believes the singer has been unfaithful to him. Winehouse and Fielder-Civil got married in May 2007, but he was arrested six months later on assault charges. In July he was sentenced to 27 months in jail, and in November, he was released into a drug rehab center but later sent back to prison for breaching his bail conditions. His lawyer, Henri Brandman, said Monday that he had been instructed by Fielder-Civil "to commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy's adultery," according to Yahoo! Music.
The three-day Harvest Of Hope festival will take place March 6 to 8 at the St. John's County Fairgrounds in St. Augustine, FL to benefit Harvest of Hope, a non-profit organization that provides financial, educational, and service oriented aid to migrant farm workers all over the country. Bands that will play the event include Against Me!, The National, Propagandhi, Broken Social Scene, Bad Brains, Lucero, Girl Talk, The Bouncing Souls, Less Than Jake, Paint It Black and John Vanderslice, among many others.
