Green Day's American Idiot was certified quadruple Platinum making it the second best-selling record in their history. System Of A Down earned its fourth consecutive Platinum album with Mezmerize. Also, two bands earned their first Platinum award in August: My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and Crossfade's self-titled debut.

Nebraska's 311 received its seventh Gold record for their album Greatest Hits '93 - '03. The band recently celebrated their 15th anniversary.

The Vans Warped Tour 2005 compilation and Fall Out Boy's debut From Under the Cork Tree were both certified Gold.
