
| East And West Coast Katrina Charity Concerts Set |

| A pair of new Hurricane Katrina relief concerts have been announced, one on either end of the continent. In Los Angeles, Tenacious D will bring together their famous friends for another benefit show, similar to the tsunami concert held earlier this year. According to the Foo Fighters' email newsletter, the Concert For Katrina Relief will take place at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on September 22. In addition to The D, other announced performers include Dave Grohl, Fiona Apple and Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age with Jesse Hughes of Homme's side project, Eagles Of Death Metal. Comics Sarah Silverman and David Cross are also on the bill. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross. In related Foo news, the band has added four more dates with Weezer and Hot Hot Heat to their fall tour as well as a concert in Dublin, Ireland in December.In New York City, two more concerts have been announced. A Radio City Music Hall show will take place on September 20, simultaneously with the previously-announced event at Madison Square Garden. The Radio City concert will feature Dave Matthews, Tom Waits, Joss Stone, Trey Anastasio, the John Mayer Trio, Galactic and Ray Lamontagne. More artists have been added to the MSG show as well, with Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis Costello and Diana Krall among those playing.  Elvis Costello
| This Saturday, September 17, the Higher Ground Relief Benefit Concert will be held at Lincoln Center. Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, Wynton Marsalis, Bette Midler and a number of Hollywood stars will appear at the event, which will be broadcast on Sirius and NPR.In Philadelphia, local stars The Roots and Jill Scott will headline a charity show on Friday, September 16. Rolling Stone reports that proceeds will go to the NAACP's hurricane relief efforts.
