While U2 concerts are often a special occasion, the Irish Rock greats brought a fellow legend on stage with them last night (October 17) in Philadelphia. Bruce Springsteen was pulled on stage during their encore to team up on a cover of Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready." According to U2.com, Bono brought the Boss' wife, Patti Scialfa, on stage as well to sing a verse of the song. Bono also improvised quite a few lines, changing them to describe Springsteen and Scialfa. U2 may have tipped the crowd earlier in the show, when Bono quoted Springsteen's "Promised Land."U2 will be touring the U.S. until December 19, when they wrap up their sold-out Vertigo tour in Portland, OR. Springsteen is in the midst of a fall tour that winds up in his home state of New Jersey in late November.
