Alex Tear Named PD At WKST
October 21, 2005

Alex Tear

As first reported by FMQB yesterday, Alex Tear has been named Program Director for WKST (96.1 Kiss)/Pittsburgh, starting November 7.

"We're fortunate to have Alex on our team," said Clear Channel RVP John Rohm in making the announcement. "His talents, skills & knowledge is a great match for the challenge we face in taking KISS to the next level of performance."

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the Clear Channel Programming culture," said Tear. "In a short two years, 96.1 Kiss has become a market leader with a strong foundation. I look forward to working close with Senior VP of Programming Gene Romano, Regional VP John Rohm and the entire 96.1 Kiss team, including some of the best next generation talent in the country with morning guys Mikey and Big Bob, Scotty in afternoons and Bonics at night. The Clear Channel resources that support and surround 96.1 Kiss are endless; I'm looking forward to a long Kiss."

Tear has spent the past eight years as PD for WDRQ/Detroit.  Prior to that he held programming duties at WHYT and WPLT.
