Clear Channel New York is named the official radio media partner of the 2005 ING New York City Marathon. Four of the stations in the CC New York cluster will participate in the worldwide event on November 6, including Z100, Q104.3, WKTU, and Power 105.1.

"The ING New York City Marathon is not only the premiere sporting event in New York City but the world, and Clear Channel New York is delighted to be a part of it," says Clear Channel Radio RVP Andy Rosen.

Z100 will have a special all-star team running in this year's event that will include Grammy nominated artist Vanessa Carlton. The team is raising money and awareness for Musicians on Call. Carlton currently resides in NYC and had been actively training while on tour with Stevie Nicks this past summer.

"We are thrilled that Vanessa is running with us this year," says SVP/Prog and CCNY/Z100 PD Tom Poleman. "Z100 and Musicians on Call will be cheering her on the entire 26.2 mile race as she raises awareness and importance of the healing power of music."

This marks the fourth consecutive year that CCNY has been involved with the race.
