The funeral for Bayside drummer John "Beatz" Holohan will be held this Saturday, November 5, reports MTV.com. Holohan was killed on Monday (October 31) when the band's van rolled over after hitting a patch of ice. According to a Bayside spokesperson, Anthony Raneri and Jack O'Shea will rejoin the Never Sleep Again tour in the future and perform as an acoustic duo. Bayside's bass player Nick Ghangarian, suffered a broken back in the accident, and is reported to be in fair condition at a Cheyenne hospital. The Never Sleep Again tour, which also features Straylight Run and Aiden, will resume on Saturday in Anaheim, CA.
Depeche Mode has cancelled their North American opening tour date due to complications from Hurricane Wilma. The opening show was supposed to take place tonight (November 2) in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Their opening date will instead be on Thursday, November 3 in St. Petersburg, FL. Depeche Mode is touring in support of their recent album Playing The Angel.
Kanye West has been named one of the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2005 by Barbara Walters and will be interviewed on her annual ABC special. Also featured on the show will be Tom Cruise, Teri Hatcher, Lance Armstrong, Michael Jackson's lawyer Tom Mesereau and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The show will air on November 29 on ABC.

Madonna will headline the MTV Europe Music Awards this Thursday, November 3. This will be the first global live television performance off of her new album Confessions On A Dancefloor. She will be preforming her first single "Hung Up." Madonna's Confessions On A Dancefloor is set to hit stores on November 14. Other artists scheduled to perform are Coldplay, Robbie Williams, the Foo Fighters, Black Eyed Peas and Green Day.Singer Christina Aguilera will be giving her fans a chance to be on her next album, via to her paid fan Web site. Fans can call up and leave a message about what her music means to them, and she will pick select voicemails to be used in a track on her album. Aguilera's next album is set to be released this spring.
Once again the Backstreet Boys are suing their former manager Lou Pearlman, reports MTV.com. The suit has many intricate claims, one being that Pearlman did not dissolve all of the group's business entities but rather used the money to start up new ones in their names. The suit alleges "abuse of the corporate privilege" and fraud. "The Backstreet Boys assumed that Mr. Pearlman had properly dealt with the departures," but after settling with him, "the Backstreeet Boys were then sued by these parties and ultimately settled with them in 2004," said The Backstreet Boys' lawyer, Jordan Keller.
The debut disc from the Panic Channel should be released in early 2006. The Panic Channel features former Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, current Jane's Addiction drummer Sephen Perkins and bassist Chris Chaney. According to his blog, Navarro said that some potential songs include "Bloody Mary," "Outsider," "She Won't Last," "Loophole" and "Left To Lose." Navarro said, "The record is really starting to sound cohesive and finished. I'd give it another week or two before I feel 'done,' but that's not that far away."
Ronald Isley, lead singer of the Isley Brothers, has been convicted of tax evasion. Isley was found guilty on five counts of tax evasion and one count of failing to file a tax return. He will be sentenced in January and he faces a maximum of 26 years in prison.
