Now that Destiny's Child has finished saying their goodbyes, Beyoncé Knowles is back to work on her thriving solo career. The singer is at work on her next film role, in Dreamgirls, but says she will start work on her second solo album once the movie is completed.
"I'm not going to write for the album until I finish doing the movie," Beyoncé told Billboard. "I've never been so excited about a movie in my life. I want to give 100 percent to this film, because I know I was born for this role."
However, if Dreamgirls wraps early enough, the album could be in stores by year's end.As for Destiny's Child, while the trio is likely finished as an active, recording group, it doesn't mean we'll never see the three of them together again in various combinations. "We haven't said that we'll never perform together," Beyoncé said. "It's not 'the end' like we're never going to perform together or be on each other's records." Kelly Rowland is already at work on her own second solo release.
