 Outkast

For months there have been rumors, speculation, hints and small details here and there about Outkast's movie/album project, Idlewild. But everyone just wants to know, when will we see and hear the follow-up to their Grammy-winning Speakerboxxx/The Love Below? Apparently very soon, as the duo's manager Blue Williams tells MTV.com we can now expect the soundtrack on February 14, with the film out on March 10.Willams explained the delays, saying, "You gotta let creative be creative, that's what it is. It ain't always when I want it. What it comes down to is, even when I'm ready to hit people with the wham-wham, the guys gotta be ready. I might be sitting there with the ill marketing -- 'We gonna do this, this and this' -- [but] if they ain't ready, they ain't ready."
Andre 3000 and Big Boi have about a week's worth of studio work left to finish on the soundtrack, and have picked a lead single, "The Train," which is a Big Boi solo track. Originally it was thought that "Idlewild Blues" would be the first single from the album.
Meanwhile, Williams says that Outkast is looking to honor the late civil rights activist Rosa Parks in some way, either with a TV special or with a tribute record. "We're trying to do a tribute special for her and get a lot of entertainers involved," Williams told MTV.com. "Then turn the special into a DVD we can put in the schools and let teachers have it to show kids. It'll be performances, people speaking on there, a history montage. A nice special that would give her just due especially for people who don't know what she did."
Parks sued the duo years ago over Outkast's hit song "Rosa Parks" but they never had any ill will towards her. "I thought it would be a great way to show we always had good intentions," Williams added. "It was my idea to figure out how we could ensure that everyone always understood we always had good intentions towards Ms. Parks."
