Yellowcard

Yellowcard is the latest band to record a session for Clear Channel Online's Stripped series. Beginning today, fans can log in to strippedmusic.com or over 50 CC stations' Web sites to hear the band perform new songs from their latest album Lights And Sounds, tunes from their previous hit record Ocean Avenue and a cover of Ben Folds Five's "Missing The War."

3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold is recovering at home from a car accident last Wednesday that happened on a highway in Mississippi. Arnold was a passenger in the car and suffered cuts and bruises on his face, requiring stitches. The band was forced to cancel their performance over the weekend at a Super Bowl concert in Detroit (Staind took their place). Arnold is expected to make a full recovery. 3DD is scheduled to begin an overseas tour on March 16 starting in United Arab Emirates.

Hawthorne Heights and their label Victory Records have launched thisiswhoweare.org today, a new online community site for fans of the Ohio band. Users can enter a contest to win tickets and backstage passes to see Hawthorne Heights on tour with Fall Out Boy and The All-American Rejects this spring on the Black Clouds And Underdogs tour, with the grand prize winner getting an on-stage "apology" from the band (tying into their new single "Saying Sorry"). This Is Who We Are is the title of the band's new DVD. Their next album, If Only You Were Lonely, arrives in stores February 28.

Hoobastank have titled their next album Every Man For Himself. It lands in stores on April 18 and fans can hear a clip of their new single, "If I Were You," on hoobastank.com, though members of the site have access to listen to the entire song.

Chevelle's Sam and Pete Loeffler has named touring bassist Dean Bernardini as the band's new official bass player, replacing founding member and brother Joe Loeffler. The band is still keeping things in the family, as Bernardini is their brother-in-law. They are also writing material for their next album. Chevelle will be on the road along with Trapt opening for Nickelback's U.S. tour this March.

Switchfoot have announced 18 dates on their spring tour, beginning March 15 in Bakersfield, CA. U.K. group Athlete will open all shows, with more dates to be added. Switchfoot will also be a part of tonight's 90th birthday salute to the legendary Les Paul in Los Angeles.

New Jersey's own Thursday will release their next album, A City By The Light Divided, on May 2. The first single will be titled "Counting 5-4-3-2-1." The band will be touring extensively this spring on their own and as a part of the Canadian leg of the Taste Of Chaos tour.

First Britney Spears, now Hall & Oates will make an appearance on NBC's Will & Grace. The Pop duo will show up on this Thursday night's episode when they are hired to play at Grace's wedding.

Singer-songwriter Cat Power (aka Chan Marshall) has cancelled her February tour (and SXSW performance) due to "health reasons." The tour, in support of her new album The Greatest, will be rescheduled.

Indie rocker Ted Leo has signed a three-album deal with Touch & Go Records, with the status of his former home, Lookout! Records still uncertain. Leo and his band The Pharmacists are expected to release a new album by year's end.
