3 Doors Down

More information has surfaced about the severity of the car accident that injured 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold earlier this month. New reports say that his wife Terika was behind the wheel when their vehicle hydroplaned. She was unharmed, but the 3DD frontman required between 35 and 40 stitches in his face and had his ear reattached by a plastic surgeon.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced the initial dates of their impending world tour. The California rockers, who will release their new album Stadium Arcadium in May, will play a dozen U.K. shows starting June 30. This includes a four-night stand at London's Earl's Court Arena and a headlining slot at the T In The Park festival on July 8. The Who will headline the second night of the Scottish festival.

Marilyn Manson gave the press a sneak preview of his directorial debut at the Berlin International Film Festival. Phantasmagoria: The Visions Of Lewis Carroll, will star Manson as the Alice In Wonderland author. He is also composing the score as well. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film will begin production this summer. A teaser for the flick was shown on Sunday at Manson's press conference.

Another rocker going Hollywood is Lenny Kravitz, who has reportedly been cast in the film Iced. According to Production Weekly, Kravitz would play the main character of the movie, a promising musician who descends into drug addiction.

Coheed & Cambria and Avenged Sevenfold will hit the road together for a 31-date co-headlining tour this spring. While all the cities have yet to be revealed, MTV.com reports the trek will begin in Poughkeepsie, NY on April 7. Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates tells MTV that HIM was originally slated to make the tour a triple threat, but the bands weren't able to work out the plan.

Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas will sing the national anthem at the Daytona 500 on February 19. You can see her on NBC when the race airs this Sunday afternoon.

Hip-Hop producer Jay Dee (Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest) passed away over the weekend at the age of 32. Jay, a.k.a. J Dilla, had fought lupus and kidney problems in recent years. Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson of The Roots told MTV.com, "Too often we bestow the 'greatest' title upon those who have the attention of the press and the charts and radio. But if you were to secretly ask the most praised hip-hop producers, if given a top three, who they fear the most, Dilla's name would chart on everyone's list, hands down. I am fortunate to have known this man. He inspires me to perfect my craft in every way. Dilla was and will always be my hero."

Gwyneth Paltrow visited KDLD "Indie 103.1"/Los Angeles to play DJ recently, and of course played music from her husband Chris Martin's band, Coldplay. But when asked what other musicians she found appealing, Paltrow said, "someone like Phil Selway, my musical hero. He's the drummer for Radiohead. I admire him so much." People magazine says that Paltrow took the time to praise Madonna's breasts, calling them "fantastic."
