| Metallica, Alice In Chains Team For Benefit Show |

Metallica singer James Hetfield and bassist Robert Trujillo will perform with Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell and drummer Sean Kinney at a benefit show in Los Angeles on May 12. The concert/dinner is a fundraiser for the MusiCares MAP Fund, which provides members of the music community access to addiction recovery treatment regardless of their financial situation. Also, Hetfield will be honored at the event with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his support of the MusiCares MAP Fund and his devotion to helping other addicts with the recovery process. Music promoter and manager Bill Silva will also be recognized.
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist Kirk Hammett are expected to attend the event, as is Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, former Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro and Sully Erna of Godsmack, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, Metallica has been working on a new album and they will play some European festivals this summer. Alice In Chains will launch a club tour in May with singer William DuVall at the helm. So far, the band has announced that they will play Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Boston and New York City in mid-May.
