According to Internet tracking service, Howard Stern's newly redesigned and politically-charged web site attracted eight-million visitors in two days last week, roughly the same number of listeners Stern has on the 35 stations that broadcast his show. The increased traffic made www.howardstern.com the fourth most popular site in the radio category for the week ending April 17.
The heavy traffic also pushed the site to No. 2 in the entertainment personalities category, behind only Oprah.com. Hitwise also reports that the majority of visitors to the site are male (58.5 percent), 25-34 (40.1 percent) with a household income between $60,000-100,000 (31.6 percent).
