Las Vegas band The Killers, who made a huge splash with their debut album Hot Fuss, will follow it up with their sophomore set on October 3. The album is reportedly titled Sam's Town, according to Billboard. The lead single, "When You Were Young," won't impact at radio until July 24, but a sneak preview of the tune will be streaming online today on IslandRecords.com at 5 p.m. EST.The Killers recently finished recording the new record with producers Flood and Alan Moulder, who have a worked on countless notable records together and separately. The Killers' debut album Hot Fuss was a smash, selling over five million copies worldwide with four hit radio singles.
Killers frontman Brandon Flowers spoke to MTV.com in May about the band's new album. He said, "I'd like to think people will like it. Because we're still entertainers, and people still want a good show. I love to write a good line or a melody, and that's important, but we're still entertainers. And hopefully we'll be entertaining lots of people."
