Shares owned by Mike McVay have been repurchased by Listener Driven Radio as McVay relinquishes his status as a shareholder in the company. McVay had left his position as a member of the Board of Directors at Listener Driven Radio in 2011 when he joined Cumulus Broadcasting as an SVP.

Universal Republic Records announces the additions to its Urban A&R department of Tab Nkhereanye as VP/A&R and Naim Ali McNair as VP A&R.

Envision Radio NetworksFull Metal Jackie welcomes WRTT/Huntsville, AL as its newest affiliate. WRTT is broadcasting Full Metal Jackie every Saturday night at 10 p.m.

Facing financial difficulties, SiriusXM Canada is asking the Canadian government to cut some of the fees it is required to pay out. The Globe And Mail reports that the satcaster is asking to renegotiate its license with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Comission (CRTC) and chop its mandatory contributions to artistic development funds in the country by 90 percent. In a filing to the CRTC, SiriusXM says it "has been losing money at a disturbing rate." The paper says that over the last seven years, SiriusXM Canada has paid out $52 million to the CRTC, far more than all the terrestrial radio stations in all of Canada put together. In its most recent quarter, the satcaster took a $2.6 million loss.

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment and WAYMedia Inc. announce that WAY-FM’s Christian Music and Conversation programming is now available on iHeartRadio. iHeartRadio now features 13 WAY-FM local stations and one national WAY-FM station.
