AC WLYT/Charlotte sheds the AC format and becomes Adult Hits 102.9 The Lake.

CHR KIIS-FM/Los Angeles is adding a 24/7 Electronic Dance Music feed on HD-2, called Club KIIS. The channel is also available via stream on iHeart Radio.

At Rhythmic CHR WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia, DJ Grooves is named MD/afternoon host. Grooves was previously APD/MD/afternoon host at CHR WDZH (AMP 98.7)/Detroit and is a Philly native. Also at Wired, Buster segues from interim afternoon driver to nights.
 
Derreck "D-Rock" Rusch, PM drive talent at CHR KKMG/Colorado Springs, is named its new PD.

Triple A KCKC/Kansas City morning host Shorty has left the building as the station goes “music-intensive” in the morning shift. 

Urban Oldies KJHM/Denver shifts to a more Rhythmic AC direction as Jammin'101.5, True Old School, Smooth R&B.

At Radio Disney, Ivan Heredia is named VP of Marketing. In his new position, Heredia will oversee Radio Disney's national and local marketing. Heredia joins Radio Disney from Nickelodeon/Viacom Media Networks' Kids & Family Group where he was Director of Music and Talent.

Nikki Sixx and Sixx Sense have teamed up with Best Buy to host "Sixx on the Sixth," a live chat with fans on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 5-6pm PST. The chat will be hosted on Best Buy’s Facebook page.

Emmis Communications sets August 14 as the date for its shareholders meeting, which will include a vote to go forward with a proposed reverse stock split.

Boston.com has begun to roll out content for its upcoming Modern Rock Internet radio station. Led by former WFNX PD Paul Driscoll, the station is using the name RadioBDC and has launched a blog here, with the Twitter handle @RadioBDC.

Beats Electronics has officially announced its acquisition of streaming music service MOG. The companies confirmed the news to USA Today and terms of the deal were not disclosed. CNet reports that Beats is not expected to make any major changes to the MOG service.

The National Association of Broadcasters announced that the 2012 NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show will be hosted by popular Dallas morning show host Edgar "Shoboy" Sotelo. The event will take place September 20 at the 2012 Radio Show at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
