Clear Channel Media+Entertainment's Tallahassee, FL cluster names Chuck Redden as its new Market Manager, effective July 23. Redden segues from CCME-Waco/Killeen, TX, where he was Director of Sales. "We are very fortunate to find someone with Chuck’s background and experience to lead the Tallahassee market," said David Coppock, Regional Market Manager, CCME. "His successful tenure with Clear Channel-Waco and understanding of the company’s vast resources and systems platforms will be very beneficial to our advertisers and staff in Tallahassee."

AC KRMW/Fayetteville-Ft. Smith ups Laura Green to PD. Green most recently served as Production Assistant and air talent.

Beasley Broadcast-Wilmington announces the promotion of Katie Loizeaux to GSM for AC WJBR-FM. Loizeaux continues to serve as the station’s Interactive Sales Manager, a position she has held since 2010. 

Triple A KHJK/Houston flips to Contemporary Christian as it becomes part of EMF Broadcasting's AIR1 Radio Network.

Programming Assistant Craig Shank will exit Triple A WTTS/Bloomington, IN on July 27. Brian Callahan is promoted to Programing Assistant/Website Coordinator and producer of the Indy Underground specialty show.

Congratulations to Classic Rock KGON/Portland midday host Iris Harrison, who will be inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame on October 6. Harrison says, "I’m overwhelmed and honored to be among the amazing class of inductees in 2012. I love the city of Portland and plan to continue serving our listeners on the airwaves on 92.3 KGON as long as possible." Harrison has spent 35 years at KGON and been a part of Portland radio since 1976.

Arbitron Mobile Oy and iResearch Consulting announce an agreement to jointly operate a syndicated, mobile media research service in China, the world's largest smartphone market. The service would be based on a planned opt-in panel of approximately 10,000 persons in China who would install an on-device software meter developed by Arbitron Mobile onto their smartphones and tablets.
    
Dr. Hannu Verkasalo of Arbitron Mobile says, "China has surpassed the U.S. as the world's largest smartphone market. Our agreement with iResearch paves the way for the creation of leading online and mobile media measurement services in this huge potential market, while giving the Internet industry around the world access to large comprehensive mobile, online and multiscreen behavioral datasets from the vibrant and growing consumer population in China."

Beasley Broadcast Group Chairman/CEO/Founder George Beasley and RAB President/CEO Erica Farber are among the inductees into the Library Of Broadcasting's 2012 "Giants Of Broadcasting" class. Also set for induction are Ted Turner, Andy Rooney, Norman Lear, Don Cornelius and others.

Ed James returns to Cornerstone as President of the agency's PR division. James co-founded Cornerstone's PR agency in 2006.

Porfirio Piña has been elected President of the Board of Directors of the BMI Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to encouraging the creation, performance and study of music.
