Kobi Kearney joins Rhythmic AC WKSL (93.9 Kiss FM)/Raleigh as the Clear Channel station's new APD/afternoon drive host. His first day is Monday, July 30. Kobi was most recently MD and night host at Rhythmic CHR WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia. "Out of over 150 solid applicants, we found Kobi's PPM experience, passion, knowledge of the market and love of Carolina Basketball is what made him our top candidate and perfect for this position." PD Zac Davis tells FMQB. "He's amped about getting to Raleigh and we are excited to have him join the G105/Kiss team. He will excel at keeping these great brands on top." "First off I will TRULY miss all my friends and former co-workers in Philly but I can't express how HAPPY I am to move back HOME!." Kobi tells FMQB. "I can't wait to return to the 'scene of the crime' where my career got its launch at the Clear Channel Raleigh cluster back in ‘99 at G105! I want to thank my new partner in crime PD Zac Davis, OM ChrisShebel and the man who signs my checks GM Dick Harlow for giving me the opportunity to rejoin the team of WINNERS back home in Raleigh! Maybe I should have negotiated some Carolina football and basketball tickets in my contract? I don't have much time left in Philly so I will have 'Wiz' coming out of my ears and Crab Fries all over my fingers for the next few days! Mama I'm coming home!"
Shannon Stone is named MD/midday host and Kevin Mussman joins for afternoons/Digital Content Editor duties at AC KOSI/Denver.

It was thought to have ended as 'FNX last night following one last spin of "JERK!" by Stephie Coplan & The Pedestrians, a NYC/Boston artist the station helped break in the past year. However, at midnight the station resumed broadcasting with a Z-A countdown of songs that is currently running. Once Clear Channel officially takes control of the station, it is expected to debut a new format.
