Nas' Life is Good falls from #1 to #2 with 45,000 sold in its second week, and right behind him is the chart's highest new debut, The Gaslight Anthem's Handwritten, at #3 with 40,000 sold, giving the band their best sales week yet. The only other Top 10 debut this week comes from Passion Pit's Gossamer, entering at #4 with a career-best 37,000 sold. Rounding out the Top 5 is the Kidz Bop 22 album, shifting 35,000 units.

Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band is inviting fans to take part in the creation of a video for its latest single, "Mercy," by contributing photos or video via http://mercy.davematthewsband.com. Individuals who complete one (or more) easy-to-follow photo and/or video tasks may find their images featured within the video. One lucky fan who enters will win a trip to the final show of Dave Matthews Band’s summer tour, which will take place at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA on September 9. "Mercy" is the first single from the band’s forthcoming album, Away From The World, which is due in stores on September 11.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band wrapped up their summer tour of Europe last night in Helsinki, Finland with a marathon show clocking in at four hours and five minutes, which is reportedly their first-ever four-hour set, according to Rolling Stone. The show was even longer if you count a five-song acoustic set Springsteen performed as the crowd came into the stadium. Last month, guitarist Steven Van Zandt told Rolling Stone: "I would not be the least bit surprised [if we broke the four-hour barrier]. Again, there's no planning this stuff. There's no way to predict it. And no one should be surprised if it happens. We're not looking at the clock. We've been transported by that point to another time zone entirely." After a two-week break, the E Street Band's tour heads to American stadiums later this month.

Eminem recently set the record for the most Facebook Likes by a living person with 60.1 million. According to the App Data page, Eminem is picking up close to 179,000 new Likes a week, edging out Rihanna, who has 59.4 million Likes. Other music stars on the "Like" list include Shakira at #8 with 53.3 million Likes, Lady Gaga at #9 with 53 million, and Michael Jackson at #10 with 51.1 million.

On Tuesday night's The Colbert Report, Comedy Central talk show host Stephen Colbert announced that he's hosting an August 10 concert aboard New York's Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum that will feature fun., Santigold, The Flaming Lips, Grizzly Bear and veteran DJ Grandmaster Flash. Colbert dubbed his event StePhest Colbchella '012: RocktAugustFest, and the performances and his artist interviews will be shown on The Colbert Report during the week of August 13.

Biffy Clyro posted a message on their website stating that Opposites will be the title of their sixth studio album. The band is currently finishing the album in an L.A. studio, and they unleashed a track called "Stingin' Belle" that can be streamed via the site, www.biffyclyro.com. Opposites is due sometime this fall.

Today, The X Factor winner Melanie Amaro released her first single, "Don’t Fail Me Now." The song was written by Livvi Franc (Britney Spears, Michael Jackson) and produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears). Amaro's debut full-length album is due in the fall.

Tony Sly, frontman for Punk veterans No Use For A Name, has passed away at the age of 41. No details are known about his death, but Fat Mike of the band's longtime label home Fat Wreck Chords confirmed the news online today. Sly joined the band in 1989, and also released a number of solo acoustic records over the years.
