Clear Channel Media and Entertainment-Columbus announced today that Michael McCoy has been named OM for the cluster, effective immediately. McCoy will oversee the programming efforts for CCM+E-Columbus’ seven station cluster: 92.3 WCOL, X 106.7, 105.7 The Brew, WNCI 97.9, FOX Sports Radio AM 1230, News/Talk 610 WTVN and Oldies 93.3.
McCoy joins the Columbus market from CCM+E-Detroit, where he most recently served as the PD for CHR WKQI (Channel 955). Prior to Detroit, he spent five years as the PD for WNCI and WLZT in Columbus. He has also programmed Oldies and AC stations in Harrisburg, Lancaster and Binghamton.
"Mike is a great fit for Columbus," said Brian Dytko, President/Market Manager, CCM+E-Columbus. "His proven track record of success, market knowledge and large market experience from his tenure in Detroit make him an asset to Clear Channel."
"Clear Channel-Columbus is an amazing cluster," said McCoy. "The stations and personalities have an incredibly rich heritage. I’m excited to jump into the position and work with my peers to achieve the cluster’s revenue and ratings goals."
With McCoy's return to Columbus, Tony Travatto adds PD duties for WKQI (Channel 955). Travatto is already PD for AC WNIC and Classic Rock WDTW, as well as OM for the CCM+E-Detroit cluster.
