New Stone Sour Album Due Out October 23
August 16, 2012

Stone Sour
Rockers Stone Sour have announced their upcoming record, House Of Gold & Bones, will be a double album, with Part 1 due out October 23 on Roadrunner Records. House Of Gold & Bones Part 2 will be released some time in 2013. The album was recorded at Sound Farm Studios just outside of the band's native Des Moines, IA with producer David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Staind). The band is sharing the first two tracks from Part 1, "Gone Sovereign" and "Absolute Zero," at www.houseofgoldandbones.com.

Guitarist Josh Rand says, "House of Gold & Bones takes everything that's great about this band and amplifies it. The riffs, the lyrics, the grooves and the songs are like Stone Sour times 10. There's also heavy stuff that's like nothing we've ever done before . It's dark as hell and a complete experience from the first track to the last."

Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor says the 24 songs on both halves of House Of Gold & Bones make up a linear storyline, telling the complete tale of a character the singer created. The story will expand beyond the double album into other media as well.

Stone Sour has also set the first leg of a massive world tour, and Taylor says, "It's going to be awesome to bring the House of Gold & Bones to the fans live. We're all psyched to come to Japan and South America right away as well; they're some of the best fans in the world! We gave people a taste of Part 1, now we're going to bring them the best Stone Sour show they've ever seen. Get ready: It begins soon…" After a pair of late September U.S. dates, Stone Sour will kick off their overseas touring in Tokyo on October 27.
