At Hot AC KZPT (99.7 The Point)/Kansas City, Nycki Page is named midday host and Social Media Coordinator. PD Tony Lorino slides to afternoon. Page joins The Point from crosstown KCJK (105.1 Jack FM), where she co-hosts mornings.

Mid-West Family-Springfield, IL flips AC KOSP to Rhythmic CHR as "92.9 The Beat." Exiting are KOSP morning host Chris Reiser and afternoon drive host Tom Benson. Middayer Jennifer Scott is expected to resurface within the cluster in a new position.

Arbitron announces that EVP/COO Sean R. Creamer has been appointed to the Arbitron Board of Directors to serve until the next annual meeting of stockholders. "Sean will bring to the Board his keen awareness of the media and marketing information landscape and of the company's opportunities for expansion," said Philip Guarascio, Chairman of Arbitron's Board of Directors. "Together with his understanding of Arbitron's businesses, growth strategies, talents and resources, Sean will be a valuable addition to the Board as the company moves forward with its plans to further enhance the value and utility of its core radio services and to develop new sources of revenue in the emerging mobile and cross-platform markets. Appointing Sean to the Arbitron Board is also the next appropriate step in the company's continued evolution of its executive team." Creamer has been EVP/COO of Arbitron since August 2011.

Vibe has confirmed reports that veteran Hip-Hop manager Chris Lighty has passed away. Lighty founded and ran Violator, which worked with a number of stars, including Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Missy Elliott, Nas, LL Cool J and many more.

WCBS-AM/New York and the New York Yankees extend their current broadcast agreement through the 2013 season.

Brad Williams is appointed COO of Federated Media, following Mark Deprez exiting. Federated Media also promotes Clint Marsh to GM of its South Bend stations, while Woody Zimmerman is named GM for Warsaw, IN.

Sony adds a new $4.99/month tier to its Music Unlimited streaming service. The lower-priced tier offers access to the same music library as the $9.99/month option, but without mobile device access.
