Active Rock WAAF/Boston announces the addition of Danielle Murr to the full-time lineup of The Hill-Man Morning Show. Previously, Murr served as a part-time news anchor /co-host for the show, splitting her time between WAAF and Total Traffic Network (formerly Metro Traffic) since late 2005.
 
KEGY (Energy 103.7)/San Diego welcomes local morning favorite AJ Machado, who will bring in his team of local San Diegans; Producer Hula Ramos, Assistant Producer Tonya Castillon and Dorothy Tran to Energy 103.7. The AJ Show will assume the morning responsibilities effective Monday, September 10.

Classic Rock WBPM/Poughkeepsie makes the switch to Classic Hits playing The Biggest Hits Of All Time.
 
AC KNLT/Anchorage sheds Lite Rock to become Movin' 105.7, Music That Makes You Feel Good. Danny Ryan will handle PD/afternoon duties.

Talk KMJ-FM/Fresno names market veteran Jennifer Lipp as its new morning drive host. Lipp will be heard weekday mornings 5:30-8 a.m., starting September 10.
 
Mike Gitter joins the A&R staff at Razor & Tie. Gitter, who has worked in A&R for labels that include Roadrunner and Atlantic Records, will be based out of Los Angeles.

Chris Frankenberg has been named VP of Business Operations, Global Digital Business for Sony Music Entertainment. He spent the last three years as VP of Digital Strategy for RED, overseeing all aspects of RED's digital music business, including account sales and marketing, production and operations.

Emmis shareholders have voted to approve a plan which will give company management the option for a reverse stock split while taking preferred shareholders' dividends and rights. The proposed plan had been challenged in court by shareholders, but was approved yesterday by President/CEO Jeff Smulyan, who is also majority shareholder.

Wells Fargo analyst Marci Ryvicker has updated her projections for political ad spending in 2012, saying that she expects $5.2 billion to be spent on political advertising this year. Ryvicker recently said that she expected radio to grab 5.2 percent of the total political ad spending in 2012, and even though she has raised her overall dollar figure for the year, radio is expected to keep the same percentage.

Apple has officially announced a September 12 press event, which is expected to be the reveal of the new iPhone 5. It is unknown whether the newest iPhone will be called "iPhone 5" or another name. Rumors and speculation have been swirling about how the popular mobile device will be upgraded.

Digital Music News reports that Spotify has dropped its requirement for users to login via Facebook. The music streaming service now offers the option to create an account without having a Facebook profile as well.

Digital music service Radionomy announces it is locating its U.S. headquarters in San Francisco. The company is opening the new office as it prepares to introduce its service to music and talk radio fans in the U.S. later this month.
