Chris Edge makes his way back to Raleigh to become OM for Clear Channel Music and Entertainment replacing Chris Shebel who transfers to the PD seat at AC sister KKCW/Portland. Edge will oversee CHR WDCG, CHR/Rhythmic WKSL, Classic Hits WRVQ and Talk WRDU. Edge had been serving as PD/Director of Digital Media for Emmis Triple A KGSR and Comedy 102.7/Austin. Look for Edge to be in place in Raleigh on October 22.
AC WRRM/Cincinnati welcome the husband and wife team of Bob Goen and Marianne Curan for mornings. Goen is known for his time with Entertainment Tonight, The Miss Universe Pageant and various game shows, while Curan is an improvisational comedienne. The duo starts on October 1. Also, Sam Alex comes on board as producer, from WMZQ/Washington, DC. PD Chris Lynn will move from mornings to middays.
Congratulations to CHR WXKS (KISS 108)/Boston's Matt Sigelhas, who was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame last Thursday night. Siegel, the longtime host of Matty in the Morning, has been on air at KISS 108 for more than 32 years.
