Rihanna, Taylor Swift Lead 2012 MTV EMA Nominees

MTV has announced the nominees for its 2012 EMAs, with Rihanna and Taylor Swift topping the list. Rihanna nabbed six nominations, including Best Song ("We Found Love"), Best Female Artist and Best Pop Artist. Swift was nominated for five EMAs, followed by Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, who each received four.

Other notable nominees include Carly Rae Jepsen, Lady Gaga, fun., Nicki Minaj, P!nk, Jay-Z & Kanye West and One Direction. MTV has re-introduced the Best Electronic category, following the resurgence of the EDM scene. Also returning is the Worldwide Act category, celebrating artists from around the globe.

The 19th annual MTV EMA will broadcast live on Sunday, November 11 from Frankfurt, Germany. Viewers can vote for the winners at mtvema.com.
