Taylor Swift's Red Rules The Chart Once Again

Taylor Swift's Red spends a second straight week at #1 on the sales chart as the album sold another 344,000 copies this week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Last week the album opened at #1 with 1.208 million sold, marking the largest sales week for an album since 2002. Now, with a total of 1.553 million sold in two weeks, Red surpasses One Direction's Up All Night as the second-biggest selling album of the year. Adele's 21 is currently 2012's biggest set with 4.132 million units sold this year.

Debuting at #2 this week is rapper Meek Mill, whose first studio album, Dreams & Nightmares, moves 165,000. Rod Stewart's Merry Christmas, Baby, debuts at #3 with 88,000, giving the singer his 16th Top 10 set. Jason Aldean's Night Train rolls down to #4 with 71,000, and Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City falls to #5 in its second week with 63,000 sold. Toby Keith scores his 13th Top 10 album with Hope on the Rocks, bowing at #6 with 48,000 sold, and Mumford & Sons' Babel moves another 44,000 this week for the #7 slot.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse enter the chart at #8 with Psychedelic Pill, shifting 34,000 copies and giving Young his second Top 10 set this year, following June's Americana which reached #6. Trans-Siberian Orchestra notches its second Top 10 album as the Dreams of Fireflies (On a Christmas Night) EP starts at #9 with 32,000, and rounding out the top 10 is Little Big Town's Tornado, shifting 29,000 copies.
