Warner Music Group Announces Organizational Realignment
November 7, 2012

In a memo released today to Warner Music Group staffers, the company announced an organizational realignment of its divisions. WMG will be divided into three divisions: Frontline Recorded Music; Music Publishing & Catalog Development and Label & Artist Services.

WMG CEO Steve Cooper said in the memo, "Let’s be clear: The drivers of our recorded music business, our frontline labels, will remain as they are. Further, the number of employees within each WMG company will not be impacted by the new organizational structure. This realignment is about creating an environment of greater collaboration, helping all of us work better together and improving the way we do business."

The Frontline Recorded Music division consists of all WMG labels, including Atlantic, Roadrunner, Elektra, Warner Bros., Nonesuch, Warner Music Nashville and Word. Craig Kallman and Julie Greenwald will continue their oversight of Atlantic, while Warner Bros. will remain under Rob Cavallo, Todd Moscowitz and Livia Tortella. John Esposito will remain in charge of Warner Music Nashville.

Music Publishing & Catalog Development includes Rhino Entertainment and now falls under the authority of Warner/Chappell Chairman/CEO Cameron Strang. "Among the numerous benefits in aligning Rhino and Warner/Chappell will be enriched collaboration in the U.S. among our recorded music and music publishing teams with respect to catalog exploitation, synch efforts and rights acquisition," wrote Cooper.

Label & Artist Services includes WEA and ADA, as well 360 Operations and D2C. It will be led by GM/CFO Matt Signore. WMG EVP of Digital Strategy and Business Development Stephen Bryan will now report to CEO Cooper as well.
