CC-L.A. Programmers Ivey, Pilat To Focus On National Duties, KIIS
December 6, 2012

Clear Channel-Los Angeles programmers John Ivey and Julie Pilat have announced they are relinquishing their PD duties for Urban AC KHHT (Hot 92.3) and Modern Rock KYSR (98.7 FM), respectively, to focus on their national duties for the company, as well as CHR KIIS/L.A.

Ivey remains SVP of CHR Programing and Talent Development for Clear Channel, as well as PD of KIIS. Pilat is Alternative Rock Brand Coordinator for CCM+E and KIIS APD/MD.

In a staff memo, CCM+E-Los Angeles OM Andrew Jeffries said, "As many of you already know, John Ivey and Julie Pilat have taken on roles within CCM+E that expand their responsibilities beyond our market, building new endeavors with our national programming team. John will now solely focus on his role as SVP of CHR Programming and talent development as well as his critical role of Program Director for KIIS-FM. In addition, Julie will now solely focus on her role as Alternative Rock Brand Coordinator and APD/MD of KIIS-FM. I am thrilled to see two of our core team members grow within the company and gain recognition for their great programming talents."

Ivey added, "I've had the pleasure of programming Hot 92.3 anchored by the Hall of Famer, Art Laboe, for four years.  I’m excited for the station to have someone to completely focus on programming, ratings and leading its talented staff."

Pilat said, "
I'm so proud of the 98.7FM team and the history we've made in the past five years. I'm looking forward to staying close to the music and culture of the station while working on exciting new national programming areas for artist development, the Alt Rock Brand Coordinator, combined with my role as Assistant Program Director and Music Director for KIIS-FM."

CCM+E will begin searching for new PDs for KHHT and KYSR.
