Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announces a revenue sharing agreement with rpm entertainment, a new Country music label, management, and publishing company. Under the agreement, rpm entertainment "will share in Clear Channel’s broadcast revenues, aligning the business interests of both companies and helping to build a sustainable market in Internet radio."
     "[rpm founder] Scott Siman knows country music inside and out," said Clear Channel CEO Bob Pittman. "His years of experience and his reputation in the industry make him and his company an ideal choice for this partnership. His focus on emerging country artists makes this business model, which allows new acts to reach bigger, more diverse audiences, even more relevant."

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced today that American Idol will be the television inductee into the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame. The show will be honored at the 2013 NAB Show Television Luncheon, April 8 in Las Vegas. "For over a decade, 'American Idol' has shaped the reality competition television genre, brought families together by entertaining viewers of all ages and made a huge cultural impact," said NAB President/CEO Gordon Smith. "NAB is proud to recognize this innovative television program."

Cox Media Group (CMG) VP/GM Scott Smith is now also the company’s new Radio Technology Director for CMG’s radio operations. In this new role, Smith will oversee CMG radio’s signal improvements, regulatory changes as they affect radio, and CMG’s radio portfolio opportunities. Smith will continue in his leadership role at CMG-Athens and will continue reporting to CMG-Atlanta VP/Market Manager Ben Reed.
     "I’m looking forward to the challenge of leading in this new role with CMG to maximize the value of our existing broadcast assets and look for new opportunities to expand CMG’s industry leading brands and facilities in the communities we serve," says Smith.

Heather Jordan exits as midday host/promotions director/web content producer at CHR/Rhythmic KOPW/Omaha as her postion has been eliminated.
 
Deanna Regalado joins Adult CHR KVUU/Colorado Springs as its new APD/midday host.
 
The Pioneer-Press reports the following changes at Hot AC KTWN/Minneapolis: Rena Sarigianopoulos and Cane Peterson one on board for mornings, while Brian "B.T. Turner is tapped for midday duties. These changes take effect on January 2.

Townsquare Media-Billings, MT welcomes Andy Winford as OM for Classic Hits KKBR and News/Talk combo KBUL-AM/FM as well as Brand Manager of Country KTCR and Classic Rock KMHK. Winford most recently held the programming post at CHR CHBN/Edmonton.

Cumulus Media and Don Imus have agreed on a contract extension that will keep Imus In The Morning on the air through 2015 at Talk WABC-AM/New York.
