Wiz Khalifa, Ke$ha Score Strong Debuts

Taylor Swift is back in the penthouse on the album sales chart this week as Red moves from #2 to #1 by selling another 167,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This marks Red's fourth non-consecutive week at #1. Combined, Swift's three albums have spent 21 total weeks at #1, tying her with Whitney Houston and Jay-Z for the fourth-most weeks at #1 since SoundScan began tracking data in May of 1991. The chart's highest debut this week comes from Wiz Khalifa, whose second album, O.N.I.F.C., starts at #2 with 141,000 sold. O.N.I.F.C. also spent the week atop of iTunes' Overall Albums and Top Hip-Hop/Rap Albums charts. Furthermore, 12/12/12 also is a big day for the Rapper because he was recognized by the Pittsburgh City Council, proclaiming that today be named "Wiz Khalifa Day."

Rod Stewart's Merry Christmas, Baby holds at #3 this week with 127,000, while One Direction's Take Me Home is #4 with 107,000. Michael Buble's Christmas occupies the #5 slot with 106,000 in sales, and at #6, Ke$ha earns the week's second-highest debut with
Warrior, moving 85,000 units in its first frame. Warrior follows her debut studio set Animal, second release Cannibal, and remix album I Am the Dance Commander + I Command You to Dance.

Meanwhile,
Alicia Keys' Girl On Fire is #7 with 77,000, Blake Shelton's Cheers, It's Christmas is #8 with 68,000, and Phillip Phillips' The World From the Side of the Moon is #9 with 65,000. Rounding out the Top 10 is Country duo Florida Georgia Line with its debut studio set, Here's to the Good Times. The album shifted 63,000 in its opening week.
