Quick Hits: Taylor Swift / Album Sales, One Direction, Rita Ora, Big Boi, Trey Songz, London's Olympic Stadium
January 3, 2012

Taylor Swift's Red spends a seventh non-consecutive week at #1 on the sales chart this week with 241,000 copies sold in the final week of 2012, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Below Swift is the fast-rising Les Miserables movie soundtrack, which shifted 136,000 for the #2 slot, and One Direction's Take Me Home, which lands at #3 with 120,000. Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox is the #4 album this week with 110,000 units sold, and T.I.'s Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head is #5 with 74,000.

One Direction will drop their new video for "Kiss You" on Monday, January 7, and the fivesome has now released a teaser for the clip. The teaser notes that the video will be a "blockbuster" and "one epic adventure." The piece was directed by Vaughan Arnell, who also worked with 1D for their videos "Live While We're Young" and "Little Things." Check out the teaser below:

After releasing an album internationally last year, Rita Ora will finally drop her U.S. debut album in 2013, and she promises that it will feature some of her Roc Nation family. "There's a few surprises. I don't want to give them away, but it's definitely in the Roc family," she told MTV News. "2013 is really important for me because it's gonna to be the first time the U.S. hears my official album and I wanted to put a few extra tracks on there and make it really special. So I'm basically giving you guys a whole new album of new material."

Rapper Big Boi took to Tumblr over the weekend and shared a photo of new lyrics for the Frank Ocean song "Pink Matter" that will feature him and André 3000, marking an OutKast reunion of sorts. Big Boi's post included the caption: "Dropping a verse on this Frank Ocean 'Pink Matter'." The track is set for release sometime next week. Meanwhile, Big Boi also revealed via Twitter that he'll appear on a new version of T.I. and André 3000's "Sorry." Could this mean that OutKast is finally ramping up for a reunion?

R&B crooner Trey Songz stars in Texas Chainsaw 3D, which opens in U.S. theaters on Friday, and the singer told Reuters that he plans to keep his acting career going. "I've set a goal for myself to land a couple of films a year," Songz said. "Recently, I shot a movie starring Paula Patton entitled Baggage Claim. It's an urban film where I get to be comedic as well as sexy." He also spoke about his single, "Heart Attack," being nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Song. "Right now I feel like I'm in the Grammy club, but not in the V.I.P. I'm just looking at the V.I.P. going, 'I got to drink. I want a bottle, just let me in the V.I.P. please!,'" he laughed. "But all jokes aside, the Grammy is the most elite award you can win as a musician so it would mean so much."

London's Olympic Stadium is set to reopen in July 2013 with a series of Rock concerts, according to BBC News. The plan is for some events that were traditionally held at Hyde Park to relocate to the stadium. Dennis Hone, chief executive of the London Legacy Development Corporation, told the BBC, "The exciting thing for us is that we have the opportunity to put on some major events in the park -- some music events and festivals and an anniversary weekend on 27 and 28 July." Hone added that he hoped to announce more details in the coming weeks.
