Longtime Music Industry Executive Polly Anthony Passes Away

Music industry veteran Polly Anthony, who spent time as head of Epic Records and Geffen, passed away over the weekend after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Anthony started as an assistant with CBS Records and worked her way up to SVP of Promotion. She then became President of Epic's 550 Music label and then President of the Epic Records Group. In 2004, she joined DreamWorks Records as President, then Geffen as its Co-President, before focusing on work in the TV and film business for Universal Music Group.
During her career, Anthony worked with artists such as Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Pearl Jam, Shakira, Rage Against The Machine, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and countless others.
