Internet radio service Pandora announced today the latest metrics that were reached in the month of February 2014. Listener hours for Pandora during the month of February were 1.51 billion, an increase of 9 percent from 1.38 billion during the same period last year. Share of total U.S. radio listening for Pandora was 8.91 percent, an increase from 8.25 percent at the same time last year. Active listeners reached 75.3 million at the end of February, an increase of 11 percent from 67.7 million during the same time period last year.
Meanwhile, Pandora also reported that it intends to discontinue its monthly disclosure of key audience metrics. The final monthly release will be provided in June 2014 (covering audience metrics for May). Pandora's standard practice of providing listener metrics on a quarterly basis will continue unchanged.
