The Beastie Boys are currently in the midst of a lawsuit against Monster Energy for using their music), and in court, Mike Diamond (aka Mike D) confirmed that the Beastie Boys are effective done making music together. Following the passing of Adam "MCA" Yauch two years ago, it was widely assumed the Beastie Boys were essentially over, but no official statement has ever been made. The New York Daily News reports that Mike D said on the stand that "We have not been able to tour since MCA, Adam Yauch, died" and that "We canít make new music." He also revealed that the group turned down a request to use their hit "Sabotage" in a 2013 action movie of the same name.

Over the weekend, Jack White released a statement formally apologizing for comments he made in his current Rolling Stone cover story interview. The quotes, many had circulated out of the context of the interview itself, had been reported as the musician taking shots at The Black Keys, Adele, his former bandmate Meg White and others. In his statement (which can be read here), White suggests that lawyers have forced his hand into discussing his personal life in interviews, following the leak of emails last year from his divorce proceedings. White also apologized to any fellow musicians he may have offended in the interview.

Trey Songz has revealed the tracklist for his sixth album, Trigga, which is due on July 1. The 13-track album features guest spots from Mila J, Ty Dolla $ign, Justin Bieber and Juicy J. There also will be a deluxe edition of Trigga with four bonus tracks.

Foo Fighters have released a brief teaser video for Sonic Highways, the upcoming HBO series that will document the making of their new album. The album is due in November. Check out the trailer below:

Both Psy and Snoop Dogg will appear on the special prime time episode of the show to debut a clip from the track's music video. The song will be officially released on June 9. "Hangover" teases fans for Psy's upcoming lead single, to be released later this summer.

The upcoming national production of Jesus Christ Superstar, featuring Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd, John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten of The Sex Pistols), Michelle Williams and J.C. Chasez has been scrapped. The announcement was made over the weekend, with producer Michael Cohl citing low ticket sales. The 50-city tour was slated to begin in New Orleans this week.

The third annual Monster Energy AFTERSHOCK Festival will take place September 13 and 14 in Sacramento. Weezer, The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, AWOLNATION, Chevelle and Bad Religion are among the headliners on Saturday, September 13, while Rob Zombie, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Rise Against and Seether top the bill on Sunday, September 14.

Following Apple's $3 billion buyout of Beats Music and Electronics, rumors have swirled about whether or not Trent Reznor is still with the company. A spokesperson for Beats confirmed to Rolling Stone that Reznor's role as Chief Creative Officer will remain intact. The Nine Inch Nails frontman was originally hired by Beats in January 2013 to help build up the company's streaming service, and the spokesperson said that Reznor's role will be unchanged in the revised version of Beats.

The Allman Brothers Band has rescheduled dates for four shows at New York City's Beacon Theatre that were postponed in March. The new dates are: October 21, 22, 24 and 25. Immediately following the make-up dates, the ABB will play what will be the final shows ever for group, which formed in 1969. These final performances will also be at the Beacon Theatre on October 27 and 28, a venue the band has played exactly 232 times since their annual tradition began there in 1989. On-sale information for the two newly-added shows will be announced in the near future.
