FMQB has learned that contract negotiations to bring XM Satellite Radio personalities Ron & Fez to WFNY (Free-FM) in New York are close to wrapping-up. The deal would place Ron & Fez in the 6-9pm slot and would be a completely new show, not a re-broadcast of their noon-3pm program on XM 202 The Virus.

The move will tweak the Free-FM line-up to include Opie & Anthony (6-9am), JV & Elvis (9am-noon), Nick DiPaolo (noon-3pm), The Radio Chick (3-6pm), Ron & Fez and Penn Jillette from 9-10pm.  Free-FM's music programming will run at other times.
