Download Festival To Visit Four U.S. Cities
May 29, 2007

Incubus

The lineup and details for the 2007 U.S. version of the Download Festival have been announced. The first of the four separate festivals will take place on August 18 at the Tweeter Center in Boston, headlined by Modest Mouse. Neko CaseWolf Parade, Band of Horses and others will also be on the bill. The second Download Festival date will be August 25 at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington state. Again, Modest Mouse will perform, along with Incubus, The Thermals, Nada Surf and more.

The third Download Festival will happen in Chicago on September 2, featuring The Shins, Band of Horses, Wolf Parade and others. The fourth and final '07 Download date will be October 6 in San Francisco with The Cure, A.F.I., Kings Of Leon, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and many more.

The unusual festival will include workshops from artists about success in the current music industry. The fans will also get to interact with the bands during interactive question and answer sessions. Autograph signings, meet and greet events and more interactive aspects of the festival are also on tap.

"We are really excited to be performing at the Download Festival in San Francisco -- our only North American festival date of the summer. We particularly love the proposed ‘interactive’ elements of this event – they will undoubtedly add a whole new dimension to the show,” said Robert Smith of The Cure.
