K-Rock VP/GM Tom Chiusano Relinquishes Role
January 18, 2008

WXRK (K-Rock)/New York GM Tom Chiusano is relinquishing his role as VP/GM of the station.  Chiusano told FMQB he is not retiring from the station and will stay on with CBS Radio in a consulting capacity until "at least June." In the meantime, the K-Rock management icon is heading out for a vacation before he resumes his duties with the company.

This month marks exactly 23 years that Chiusano has led the day to day operations of the station helping to transform it from an underperforming CHR station into one of the most influential and profitable rock stations across the country.  His career with Infinity Broadcasting began in 1982 as General Manager of WIVY in Jacksonville, Fla.

“I’ve had an unbelievable run with CBS Radio having worked with the biggest and best names in the business,” said Chiusano.  “And as proud as I am of the legacy I will leave behind, I’m equally enthusiastic about what the future holds.”

CBS Radio President and CEO Dan Mason commented, “It’s not everyday you get to work alongside someone of Tom’s integrity, intelligence, and understanding.  For many in this organization, myself included, we’ve been fortunate to have learned from and been a friend of Tom for more than two decades.  He’s taught us all how to successfully face challenges and break new ground with a genuine passion and distinctive style all his own.  I look forward to his continued counsel and insight and wish him nothing but the best.”
