Sirius Satellite Radio will cover Super Bowl XLII with a dozen live broadcasts in eight languages. Sirius will simulcast the Patriots' home broadcast from WBCN/Boston and the Giants' home broadcast from WFAN/New York. Westwood One's national broadcast will air on Sirius, as will BBC Radio Five and broadcasts in Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Flemish, Russian and Mandarin Chinese.
"The NFL is one of the cornerstones of Sirius' programming and our Super Bowl broadcasts will provide fans unparalleled access to the year's biggest sporting event," said Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin. "Sirius NFL Radio will feature comprehensive coverage of Super Bowl Week and fans across the country can follow the game in several different languages."

In related news, Sirius' Faction Channel (channel 28) will begin its coverage of the 12th Winter X Games in Aspen, CO beginning this Thursday, January 24. The satcaster's coverage is hosted by former Olympic skier Carrie Sheinberg and Faction's Bryan Cullen and Michael Tully, with commentary from multiple Winter X Game medalist, extreme skier, Jon Olsson.
