As expected, Cumulus has flipped the former Top 40 WWWQ/Atlanta to "Rock 100.5," with WWWQ moving to 99.7 last Friday. Former WKLS/Atlanta morning crew The Regular Guys (Larry Wachs and Eric Von Haessler) kicked off the new format today at 6 a.m. While middays are still open, Axel handles afternoon drive, with Matt C. & Lewis in nights and Matt Jones in overnights. WWWQ (Q100) PD Rob Roberts is also the PD of Rock 100.5. The Rock station's official Web site has yet to launch, but it can be streamed at www.atlantasrockstation.com.
Darryl Brown, ABC Radio Networks EVP/GM, is set to announce he will be stepping away from his daily responsibilities with the company to spend more time with his family. Brown will stay on as a special adviser on Hispanic radio with the company.
Richard Hinshaw is named GM for Pamal Broadcasting’s Gainesville/Ocala radio stations effective immediately. Hinshaw takes over for Tom Machnik who now focuses on sales with Pamal.
AC KQXT/San Antonio taps Mark Pollitt as its new PD. Pollitt formerly held the National Format Director/Pop title with Cumulus.
Terry Moir joins the Trapper Jack & The Morning Show at AC WDOK/Cleveland. Moir will also continue with her current job as Director/Programming & Sales and Marketing at Cleveland’s WKYC-TV.
Angie Good and Tammy Cruise return to mornings at Hot AC KOSO/Modesto. The pair, who anchored mornings from 1999-2006, are replacing The Morning Buzz. Additionally, Good adds PD duties while Alicia Pecorino is awarded APD/MD/afternoon honors.

Universal Music Publishing Group has reportedly become the #1 music publisher in the world, surpassing EMI's publishing share. According to Music & Copyright, UMPG grew from 11.9 percent to 24 percent of the publishing world in 2007, thanks to its acquisition of BMG Music Publishing. EMI held 17 percent of the music publishing business.

ESPN and XM Satellite Radio are re-branding XM channel 141 as ESPN Xtra. The revamped channel will enhance its current schedule of ESPNEWS programming with new shows and specials, including three of ESPN Radio's premier talk programs from its owned stations in New York and Dallas, which will be available for the first time for a national radio audience only on XM. The ESPN Xtra channel will also air content produced by ESPN exclusively for XM throughout the year, live coverage of events ranging from the X Games to the ESPY Awards, and ESPN columnist Bill "The Sports Guy" Simmons' popular podcast from ESPN.com. In addition to the newly branded ESPN Xtra channel, XM will continue to offer ESPN Radio (XM channel 140).
