AC Stations' Ratings Jump In Fall '07 Numbers
February 20, 2008

Arbitron has released its Fall 2007 format trend numbers, and while News/Talk is still the #1 format in the country, AC stations saw the biggest increase from the Summer to the Fall.

News/Talk stations held a 17.9 AQH share of all formats (12+), up from 17.4 in the Summer. All AC formats combined climbed from a 13.9 to a 15.2. Most other formats saw their ratings remain fairly flat or take a slip dip in the fall. The Spanish format stayed steady at 10.9, as CHR/Top 40 dipped from 11.0 to 10.8. Urban was the next largest format with a 9.9 in the fall of last year, followed by Country with a 9.0.

The entire Arbitron format trends breakdown, which goes back a full decade, can be found here.
