Coldplay

Coldplay have announced the largest U.K. headlining shows of their career, with five outdoor dates this summer. The band will play two nights in London on June 27 and 28, a July 1 date in Glasgow, and July 4 and 5 in Bolton. These shows are the start of Coldplay's world tour in support of their still-untitled third record, which will be out in June. "We've spent a long time in the studio and haven't played a gig for eighteen months", says Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland, "so we can't wait to get out on tour and play our new songs live."

New songs from Beck's upcoming album Guero will appear in next Thursday's episode of The OC. Beck's music will be the only songs heard on the episode. The new tracks that will be heard are: "E-Pro," "Que Onde Guero," "Scarecrow," "Missing" and "Girl," along with Beck's already-released cover of "True Love Will Find You In The End" by Daniel Johnson.

The Backstreet Boys will prepare for their return to the spotlight with a series of club dates this spring. MTV.com reports the Boys will kick off the short tour with two nights in New York City on March 21 and 22, with dates scheduled through April 2 in Myrtle Beach. Their new album will be out in July, as they kick off a major tour on Fourth of July weekend.

Dave Matthews Band have announced their now-annual summer tour for 2005. The extensive trek will kick off on June 1 in Maryland Heights, MO and wrap up over three months later in Bonner Springs, KS. DMB will release a new studio album sometime in May.

The February 18 tsunami relief concert in Anaheim, Music For Relief: Rebuilding South Asia, raised over one million dollars towards the rebuilding efforts. The concert's all-star lineup included No Doubt, Jay-Z, Linkin Park, Jurassic-5, Story Of The Year and others.

Snow Patrol have begun recording new material in the brief downtime the Irish band has before they head out on a North American spring tour. The band plans to spend eight weeks in the studio working on new songs, while aiming to put out a new album by year's end.

Doves' new album, Some Cities, arrives in stores today and the band has lined up a handful of U.S. appearances. They will play New York City on March 15, a SXSW gig on March 17 in Austin, TX, Los Angeles on March 21 and the first day of the Coachella Festival on April 30. Doves will also perform on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on March 22.
