The legendary New York crime family, the Gambinos, and a few other known associates have once again been caught up in a federal sting operation that this time hauls in 32 people on a 53-count-$30 million racketeering indictment, which as part of the charges involves New York Dance station, WKTU.
According to today's New York Times (free sign-up required), the Clear Channel station allegedly was pressured into giving away free commercials to a gentleman's club, which was controlled by the Gambinos. The Times reports that a spokeswoman for the station, Josefa Paganuzzi, said she had no knowledge of the case and was unable to reach station executives for comment.
