XM Satellite Radio and EMI Music have resolved the lawsuit brought on by the label over the Pioneer Inno satellite radio receiver. The Inno, which let users record songs off the satcaster, brought about a complaint filed by the major labels in May 2006. No specifics of the agreement were announced.
Each of the four major labels has gradually settled with XM, with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group reaching an agreement last December, and Sony BMG settling in February.
At the time of the lawsuit, the RIAA called the Inno device "essentially a free version of iTunes," for allowing listners to record digital copies of songs.
