 Velvet Revolver

Speculation has risen that Velvet Revolver may take over for Iron Maiden on the last seven dates of Ozzfest, since Maiden has a touring commitment overseas. Yahoo's Launch Radio reported that Velvet Revolver was listed on Ozzfest.com as part of the line up scheduled for the August 27 show in Woodlands, TX, but the band's name has since been removed from the posting. The same posting also listed Mudvayne on the bill, but their name has been removed as well. Ozzfest kicks off on July 15 in Mansfield, MA. Nelly will resume his postponed tour this Sunday, April 3, in his hometown of St. Louis. MTV.com reports he will make up the week's worth of dates that were put on hold, after the rapper's sister passed away from leukemia last week.
The White Stripes will release their as-yet-untitled next album on June 14. The set was recorded in the group's hometown of Detroit. The White Stripes are set to play Atlanta's Music Midtown Festival on June 10.
Simple Plan and Good Charlotte are teaming for the Noise To The World tour, which begins May 2 in Tulsa. The Punk Rock trek will hit 35 markets in the U.S. "We can't wait to get back to the U.S. and rock on tour with our friends Good Charlotte," said Simple Plan drummer Chuck Comeau. "We've been overseas for months and this is our first real North American tour in a long time. We have so many amazing fans all over the country and it's going to be great to have the chance to play our new songs for them."
If you like both Alter Bridge and baseball, you are in luck. Alter Bridge’s song "Open Your Eyes" has been named the official song of ESPN’s Baseball Tonight and Opening Day of major league baseball. In fact, fans who watch ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball on April 3 at 8 p.m. will be treated to an interview with guitarist Mark Tremonti and drummer Scott Phillips. They will talk baseball, the end of the Boston Red Sox curse, and they'll recollect some of their favorite baseball moments. Alter Bridge will kick off the Jagermeister Music Tour tonight in New York.
To promote his new CD Devils & Dust, Bruce Springsteen will chat with Matt Lauer on NBC's Today show on April 25. Meanwhile, VH1 will air Springsteen's Storytellers episode on April 23. Devils & Dust will be released in DualDisc format on April 26.
Lisa Marie Presley will kick off a spring tour on April 26 in St. Petersburg, FL in support of her new album, Now What. The first single from the set is "Dirty Laundry," which is actually a Don Henley cover. The song has been used in commercials for the show Desperate Housewives.
