Miss Jones is now the exclusive property of Radio One Urban WPHI (100.3 The Beat)/Philadelphia reports the Philadelphia Inquirer after being cut loose from her morning gig at Emmis Hip-Hop WQHT (Hot 97)/New York late last Friday. The morning radio host also known as Jonesy, and whose real name is Tarsha Jones, had been airing on the station since November in a syndication deal with Emmis. Jonesy has a history with The Beat but departed the station in 2003 when it was at the 103.9 frequency. Her new show is set to debut on July 7.
WLDI (WiLD 95.5)/West Palm Beach, FL adds On Air with Ryan Seacrest afternoons from 1-4 p.m. WiLD PD PJ says midday host Valentine will still be heard until 1 p.m. and that the move is "not a corporate cram down" and not "to save money." He adds that, "This isn’t a situation where we turn over the radio station to some third party for three hours. This is a show in which we can integrate Ryan into what WE do. Take a listen and see for yourself. No two stations running Ryan will sound the same."
As Citadel flips Country KTYS (The Twister)/Dallas to the 60's and 70's based Platinum 96.7, the station welcomes back legendary air talent and Texas Radio Hall of Fame member Ron Chapman. Chapman’s duties will include consulting as well as assembling the station’s talent, imaging and music.

EMI has sued social networking site Hi5 and video advertising company VideoEgg for copyright infringement. According to CNet, the lawsuit claims the companies had allowed users to upload music videos by EMI artists onto their servers, thus violating copyrights.
Los Angeles-based Musexpo will head overseas for its first annual European event, Musexpo Europe 2008. Taking place in London from October 27-29, the three day event will include performances from up-and-coming artists as well as invite-only conferences. Musexpo is an international music, media, technology and entertainment forum, founded by Sat Bisla.
