Lil Jon Adds Movie Star To His Resumé
April 13, 2005

Lil Jon

On the heels of the announcement of the massive Anger Management 3 tour starring Eminem, 50 Cent and Lil Jon, the King Of Crunk has announced plans to write and star in a movie. Lil Jon told Rolling Stone that he is working on the script for the movie, aptly titled What?, in which he will also star. It will start shooting in January. "It'll probably be like [Ice Cube's] Friday," he said.

Meanwhile, he is focusing on his big summer tour and he's been in the studio producing the next single from fellow Atlanta rappers Youngbloodz. "We're gonna do a lot of planning and really try to make our show incredible," he said of Anger Management. "By the end of the show, people are gonna be ready to go home and take a shower because of all the energy." Jon also said to expect special effects and an exciting visual show, "even though crunk music don't really need no props. We just go out there and hit them so hard - so with the effects on top of that, it's going to be crazy!"

In addition to Jon, Em and 50, the tour also features G Unit, D12, Obie Trice and Stat Quo. "Being on tour with all those characters, we might end up doing some records together," Jon told Rolling Stone. "I'm going to have a studio on my bus, and we'll probably collaborate back and forth."
