Universal Music Group is facing accusations of racketeering, fraud, trade libel and breach of contract in a $100 million lawsuit files by two independent promoters, National Music Marketing and Majestic Promotions, claiming they were forced to submit false invoices to help Universal recoup promotional expenses, according to a Reuters report. The lawsuit states that National and Majestic were fired when they would not submit the fake invoices. It also alleges that Universal told radio stations to cease business with the promoters.
