June 1, 2005

Dave Mustaine has revealed an initial list of dates for this summer’s Gigantour, featuring Megadeth, Dream Theater, Fear Factory, Dillinger Escape Plan and Nevermore on the main stage. The six-week festival will take flight on July 21 in Fresno, CA, and wrap on September 3 in Toronto. Life Of Agony, Symphony X, Dry Kill Logic and Bobaflex are confirmed for the second stage. Furthermore, fans who visit megadeth.com or gigantour.com will be able to purchase Gold Reserved tickets, which include a seat in rows 5-20 and a limited edition t-shirt, or Platinum Reserved tickets, which include a seat in the first four rows, backstage access, photos with the band, a tour book and other souvenirs.

In related news, Megadeth will release Greatest Hits: Back To The Start on June 28. The set will be released as a 17-track CD including fan favorites like “Holy Wars,” “Peace Sells” and “Sweating Bullets,” and also as a deluxe CD/DVD package. The deluxe edition includes 40 minutes of video content, behind-the-scenes footage, seven previously unreleased live performance cuts, and a preview of the forthcoming two-DVD set, Arsenal Of Megadeth. Coming this fall, Arsenal Of Megadeth is a new career anthology including videos, live performances, interviews and Dave Mustaine's home movies of the band on the road.
